Join the Summer Reading Program, starting June 2nd

2014 Summer Reading Program is open for children and teens up to twelfth grade. This year we are learning about science as the Cass County Public Library presents “Fizz, Boom, Read!” Join us for our exciting programs that are fun for the whole family. Each branch will also have weekly storytimes with crafts and activities. Thanks to our community partners whose contributions help the library branches provide these programs.

Library of Congress dignitary visits Cass County historical display

Donald Scott, Deputy Librarian of Congress Emeritus and Library of Congress Trustee, attended the unveiling of the new Stern Visitations of War in Cass County exhibit unveiling in Harrisonville. Scott is a retired Brig. General with the United States Army and is also on the board of Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area which cosponsored the project with Cass County Historical Society and the library.
