Assistant Director, Head of Public Services (Full-Time Exempt) – Cass County Public Library Administrative Offices
Cass County Public Library is seeking a motivated and community-minded library professional to join its leadership team as Assistant Director and Head of Public Services. In collaboration with the leadership team, the Assistant Director oversees the management of public services, including circulation, reference, and genealogy. The Assistant Director works with the Library Director in strategic planning, budgeting, policy development, operational oversight, and evaluating library services.
Excellent oral and written communication and customer relations skills are essential to succeeding in this position. Must have the proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of the leadership team, and experience supervising public service staff. Should possess excellent organizational skills, and report writing skills.
A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program is required. Three to five years or more of progressive managerial and/or administrative library experience is required. Full job description can be found here.
Salary range: $72000 – $81000. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. The library offers a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life and LAGERS.

Facilities Library Specialist (Part-Time) – Administrative Offices
Part-time Facilities Library Specialist – 24 hours per week. $16.75/hr.
Seeking a highly motivated and solution-driven individual to join our team. This position works
as a member of the support team responsible for the setup, repair, and maintenance of facility
fixtures and furnishings. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, furniture assembly,
identifying issues and repairing maintenance equipment, regular facility inspections to address
potential safety issues, and working with outside vendors for specialized repairs. This position
exhibits a positive attitude and interacts with other employees in a friendly, courteous, and
respectful manner. High school graduate or equivalent. Previous experience in facility
maintenance, building operations, or a related field is highly desirable. Proficiency in using
various tools, equipment, software, and technology related to facility maintenance is beneficial.
Knowledge of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices. Experience in customer service.

Part-Time Teen Specialist – Pleasant Hill Branch
Creative, energetic, and love working with teens? Join our team!
Cass County Public Library is seeking an 18-hour-per-week Teen Specialist to work in our new Pleasant Hill branch. The enthusiastic individual will work with teens in grades 6-12, applying their knowledge of teen interests to provide programming and spaces that are both appealing and relevant. Specific responsibilities include providing teen programming, building relationships with local community groups, and assisting with the maintenance of the young adult branch collections. Friendliness, good judgment, and a sense of humor are essential. Includes some evenings and rotating weekends.
A two-year or four-year degree from a recognized college in education or related field plus some library experience preferred. Will consider an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Starting pay $16.75/hr.
