Ribbon Cutting, Rededication Ceremony at Northern Resource Center

The Northern Resource Center of Cass County Public Library celebrated the completion of its renovations with the help of the Belton Chamber of Commerce, Raymore Chamber of Commerce, and Peculiar Chamber on September 1st. The Ribbon Cutting and Rededication Ceremony hosted around 60 members from the community to see the library unveil its new spaces.

Renovations included a large multipurpose programming room, a conference room, two study rooms, and a fresh coat of paint with two accent walls. Patrons can reserve the multipurpose room, conference room, and study rooms for their gatherings and events by contacting the branch.

These upgrades were made possible thanks to Proposition L, which voters passed in 2020, and Cass County Public Library’s cooperation with Block. Not only did these significant renovations help to refresh the space, but the 3,675 square feet addition now makes NRC the largest library branch in Cass County. “Patron and staff comments about the change are overwhelmingly positive,” Library Manager Rod Inman says. “Everyone really enjoys the fresh new look and relaxed feel of NRC. The new study rooms are a big hit.”

Cass County Public Library will continue to serve the residents in Belton, Raymore, and Peculiar for many years to come! A big thank you to the patrons of Cass County Public Library for their continuous support and patience as improvements were made in an effort to continue to provide informational, educational, and enriching services and resources.
