Introducing Your New Bookmobile!

The new Bookmobile is on the move! The library welcomed the newly remodeled 30′ 2015 Thor Motor Coach from Mission Mobile Medical based in Greensboro, North Carolina, on September 22, 2022. As a full-service mobile branch of Cass County Public Library, the Bookmobile is wheelchair-accessible, has wireless internet, can fill material requests, and request Interlibrary Loans nationwide. Built on a Ford Super Duty chassis, the V10 Triton engine has no problem hauling the 2,000 library items available for checkout, plus our staff and accessories. The Bookmobile also features a convenient slide-out that expands the usable space to allow for patron seating inside the library, as well as storage for our mobile furniture that provides a variety of arrangements for outdoor spaces.

Starting the week of October 3, 2022, the Bookmobile will be making the rounds of Cass County to provide library services in several communities. The schedule can be found on our website at casscolibrary.org/bookmobile or on the calendar below.

Branch manager Amy Burkholder, pictured below with library assistants Rindy Finley and Joyce Webb, as well as members of the Administration team, are excited to be back on the road and ready to see some old friends and meet some new ones!
