Dan Brower Resigns as Director of Cass County Public Library

Cass County Public Library Board of Trustees has announced that Dan Brower has officially resigned from his two-year tenure as Director effective November 17th.

In his statement, Brower explained that CCPL has undergone many changes over the course of the six years that he has been with the organization, including redesigning the library’s website, joining the Missouri Evergreen consortium, the passage of Proposition L, a new Bookmobile, and renovated spaces throughout the county.

“This library has done so much to improve patrons’ experience in the library, and I am proud to have been a part of it,” Brower said. “There is still so much that the library can and should do. With a new Strategic Plan and the incredible staff here to accomplish those goals, CCPL has a bright future. I hope that I have laid a strong foundation for that.”

Brower will be continuing his career in library services and said he is looking forward to watching CCPL as it progresses.

The Cass County Public Library Board of Trustees has begun their search for a new Library Director. Robin Hudson will step in to serve as Interim Director until a candidate is found.

With an MLS from the University of Missouri, Hudson has served as the Assistant Director for Cass County Public Library since 2022. Prior to CCPL, Hudson was with Mid-Continent Public Library since 2007, serving as Branch Manager since 2009.
