Introducing Dial-A-Story!

Cass County Public Library is excited to announce Dial-A-Story!

Starting on Monday, September 14th, patrons can call 816-579-6121 to hear chapters of books read by our local librarians. When you call, you will be prompted to choose an option with accompanying chapter selections.

Our first book is Roald Dahl’s Matilda, as read by Amy, our friendly neighborhood Bookmobile manager. Select Option 1 to hear the first 3 chapters of the book, and select Option 2 to hear chapters 4 through 6.

Matilda is also available for checkout through our catalog or as an eBook and eAudiobook through Libby or Overdrive, if you want to read along, catch up, or skip ahead.

We hope to engage our older school-aged children, and what better way than by reading books that all ages can enjoy? Every Monday, we’ll have the next 2 sets of chapters available for callers, so gather the whole family and put us on speakerphone! You can keep track of what book we are reading on our Dial-A-Story page, too.
