Hooks and Needles at Pleasant Hill

Hooks & Needles Crochet and Knitting Group meets on the 1st and 2nd Tuesdays of the month, 5:30 PM early birds, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

I’m excited to announce that the Pleasant Hill library’s Hooks & Needles crochet and knitting group has decided, as a winter project, to make hats for newborns of families in need. Last year we were able to donate over fifty hats to cancer patients and infants in need.

Hats are created at home and during the weekly sessions. Members have many patterns for knitted and crocheted hats and are more than glad to share their patterns.

Hooks & Needles is for the beginner or experienced needle person. People who attend are glad to help those who are new to the craft and enjoy learning from one another. The group meets from 6:00-7:00 PM but early birds are welcome at 5:30.

If it weren’t for this group of knitters helping me get started with patience and encouragement, I wouldn’t have acquired a skill that is so enjoyable to me.

Anyone who has ever said, “Wish I knew how to knit or crochet:” don’t wait another week.  Learn a new hobby; make new friends. Join the Pleasant Hill Library Hooks & Needles group.
