Zach Walsh, CCPL Technology and Facilities Coordinator, Tells His Library Story
Summer holds a special place in the hearts of many – a season of warmth and endless possibilities. For Zach Walsh, summer signifies a cherished tradition alongside his grandmother.
Recalling the sun-drenched days of childhood, Zach fondly remembers the ritual of walking to the Harrisonville Branch with his grandmother and sister. Amidst the sweltering heat, the cool refuge of the library beckoned, promising adventures within the pages of countless books. Together, they would escape into worlds of fantasy and wonder, forging memories that would last a lifetime.
A highlight of Zach’s summers was participating in the Summer Reading Program (now Summer Library Program) at the Harrisonville Branch. Since he was in third grade, Zach eagerly embraced the challenge, embarked on literary quests, and fueled his imagination and thirst for knowledge. Fast forward to the present day, and Zach now works for Cass County Public Library as the Technology and Facilities Coordinator.
“My grandmother has since passed, but coming to the library with her during the summer will always be a fond memory of mine,” Zach said.
