Longtime trustee, Peggy Dryden, retires from the library board

Peggy Dryden resigns after 15 years on the Cass County Public Library Board of Trustees.

The library recently thanked Peggy Dryden for her years of dedicated leadership and support.

In 2001 Ms. Dryden was appointed by the county commission to serve on the library board and has been an active board member and office holder on the board for almost 15 years.

Peggy has also served on the Cass County Public Library Foundation Board, the Belton Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, and the Belton Industrial Development Authority Board.

She has been a member of the Belton Historical Society, The Belton Chamber of Commerce, and the Belton Vision Committee.

She is a recipient of the Missouri Municipal League and City Of Belton Leadership Award, and a recipient of the Belton Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award.

She retired from The Barstow School where she worked as a school librarian. Her bachelor’s degree is from Central Methodist University where she studied business, English and education.

We thank Peggy Dryden for her service to the library and to our community.
