Cass County Public Library Board Announces Robin Hudson as Director

Harrisonville, MO – Cass County Public Library Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Robin Hudson as director of CCPL at the monthly board meeting on February 21.

Hudson was asked to serve as interim director following the resignation of Dan Brower in November 2023, while the board conducted their candidate search. 

With an MLS from the University of Missouri, Hudson served as the assistant director for Cass County Public Library since 2022 before stepping into her role as interim director. Prior to CCPL, Hudson was with Mid-Continent Public Library since 2007. During her tenure, Hudson worked in four different branches as a desk associate, then as assistant branch manager, and later as branch manager in 2013.

“I am excited to step into this role and look forward to working with the staff, the board, and our community partners to further the library’s mission to connect the citizens of Cass County with resources that can inform, educate, and enrich their lives,” Hudson said. 

CCPL Board President Tonya Long shared that the board of trustees is excited to work with Hudson in her new role as director. 

“The decision to offer her the position was unanimous,” Long said. “The board believes Robin has much to offer Cass County and we look forward to what is in store for the future.”
