Using WorldCat

If you can’t find an item in our catalog, the library can still try to get the item for you using Inter-Library Loan. Through WorldCat, patrons can search for items in thousands of libraries. We may be able to get the item for you, but it may take longer to receive the item.

Searching on WorldCat: Find WorldCat under our Online Resources. Click on WorldCat and you will see a simple search box with a drop down box next to it. Use the drop down box to select what group of libraries to search (Missouri libraries, Libraries Worldwide, etc.).

The search results can be narrowed by author, format, audience, and more. To view the item you want to request, click on the book cover or title. This screen will show you what nearby libraries own it, along with a summary of the book:
