Congratulations to the winners in last night’s Poetic Voices competition! From left to right: Jordan Gaddie from Archie won 3rd place for her poem “Can You Hear It?”, Ella Roberts from Pleasant Hill won 1st place for her poem “True Colors,” and Chasiti Clayton from Drexel won 2nd place for her poem “Simply Imperfect.” More photos of the event to come later today.

Poet, Eric Borden, to return as Poetic Voices Judge

Local poet, Eric Borden, will be joining the panel of judges at the library’s annual Poetic Voices competition again this year. Those in attendance can also look forward to recitations by Mr. Borden of his own poems.

Poetic Voices 2013

All teen poets (13-18) are invited to submit an original poem to the teen poetry contest at their local branch. Teen poets who write the top four poems at each branch will be invited to present their poem in the oral 2013 Poetic Voices competition.
