Full-Time Children’s Specialist – Northern Resource Center of Cass County Public Library

40 hours per week, including night(s) and Saturdays on rotation. Starting pay $14.30/hr.

Cass County Public Library is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented library professional with excellent communication skills and a solid working knowledge of children’s and teen services. Specific responsibilities include: leading early literacy storytimes, planning events for school-aged children and teens, coordinating summer reading program activities for families, and coordinating school visits throughout the year. Requirements include excellent customer service skills, proven experience working with children and teens in a positive environment, excellent computer skills, and a willingness to learn. A two-year or four-year degree is required. A degree in early or elementary education or library science with related library experience is preferred.

Substitute Library Assistant—Northern Resource Center (located in Belton) of Cass County Public Library

Substitute library assistant. Requirements include excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, self-starter who is ready to learn and basic knowledge of libraries. Experience with children and/or teens preferred. Completed college coursework preferred; high school diploma or equivalency required. $10.00/hour.
