Overdue Fines
We do not charge daily overdue fines for items. Patrons will be charged for items not returned or items returned damaged or with missing pieces.

Account Suspension
Once a patron owes $25.00 or more on their library account, their account is blocked. Patrons with blocked accounts cannot check out items.

Notices
Courtesy notices are sent only by email or text
to inform you that items you currently have checked out will be due soon. If you do not prefer to receive courtesy notices, speak with a library employee or let us know using Ask a Librarian.

Overdue notices are sent out 7 days after the item is due, if the item has not been returned.

Assumed lost notices are sent out 21 days after the item is due, if the item has not been returned. If an item is overdue for 3 weeks, it will be considered lost by the circulation system. The patron will be charged the full replacement cost of the item, in addition to a $5.00 processing fee.

Collections
Failure to return the material or pay the amount due on items that are 42 days (6 weeks) overdue may result in the account being sent to Unique Management Services, Inc. for collections. An additional service fee of $10.00 will be added to the patron’s account.
Any account in collection status will remain blocked until the account has a $0.00 balance. Patrons may still receive notices from the collection agency until their account has a $0.00 balance. This is true whether or not the items are returned.
Unique Management Services, Inc. may report any account in collection status to credit bureaus.

Patron-Purchased Replacement Items
The library does not accept patron-purchased replacement items for any items that have been lost or damaged.
