Teens will meet every Thursday at 2:00pm at the library located in Belton. Take a look at what we have planned each week:
Teens@2 – Northern Resource Center (Belton)
Dr. Who: Let the summer begin with an awesome Dr. Who Party! “In the fight for survival there are no rules.” ~ The 8th Dr. Who. Patrons 6th-12th grade. Thursday, June 4, 2:00pm.
Mini-golf: See if you can make it through our book-filled mini-golf course! 6th – 12th grade only. Thursday, June 18, 2:00pm.
Super Smoothies: Get super-strong with delicious super-ingredient super-smoothies. Make & taste here at the library, take home recipes to make more at home! Thursday, June 25, 2:00pm.
Superhero Training Academy: Test your mental and physical agility with our super games! Thursday, July 2, 2:00pm.
Jewelry Making: Learn some super jewelry making skills. We will have materials on hand and provide guidance, but your creation will be your own! Thursday, July 9, 2:00pm.
Life-Sized Candyland: Bring the game to life-sized fun! Thursday, July 23, 2:00pm.
Cosplay: Come as you are or dressed like your favorite character and end the summer reading program with a bang! pop! pow! Thursday, July 30, 2:00pm.

Page Turners Book Club: A NEW popular fiction book club just for teens, just for summer! Join us for snacks and discussion on the last Thursday of every month. Ages 14 – 18.
Ungifted by Gordon Korman. Thursday, June 25, 6:30pm.
The Young Elites by Marie Lu. Thursday, July 30, 6:30pm.
Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. Thursday, August 27, 6:30pm.
Minecraft: Love Minecraft? Love making things? Join us as we combine the two! For teens age 6th – 12th grade. Thursday, June 11, 6:30pm.
Comic Book Artist: Special guest Rob Schaumbarger will teach you how to make art and make it as an artist. Mr. Schamberger is a Kansas City born and bred artist with a lifelong love of comic books, illustration, street artists, quality crime dramas, and other hipster things. Take a look at his gallery here. All ages welcome. Thursday, July 16, 6:30pm.
Folded Books Class: Learn to make beautiful book sculptures using a simple origami technique. It’s a lot easier than it looks! The only skill required is the ability to fold a piece of paper. See the example on display at the circulation desk. Thursday, August 20, 6:00pm.
