Meet the new Children’s Specialist at Northern Resource Center!

Hi! I’m Lauren Smith, the new children’s librarian for Cass County Northern Resource Center!  I am coming straight from an elementary school in downtown Kansas City, Kansas. I’m looking forward to serving my new community.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Memphis College of Art. After working as a children’s photographer, jewelry-maker, and art teacher, I spent a year teaching English in Shanghai, China. I have always worked with and loved children and am excited to serve my new community here in Cass County.
