It’s Time for Summer Vacations!

It’s that time of year to be going on summer vacations. I am just about to leave for Key West, Florida and I am so excited to see all of the interesting and new things there are to do! One of the best ways to find great local restaurants and attractions is to pick up a travel guide from your local library.

For instance, if you are a big history buff, consider checking out one of the cities on the east coast. Cities like Boston are ripe with American history and lots of great things to enjoy. Check out DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Boston. You’ll find detailed information on the best things to do in Boston; from visiting historic Harvard University and taking one of many walking tours to watching a Boston Red Sox game.

DK Eyewitness Travel Guides are available for several cities and will lead you straight to the best attractions these cities have to offer.

If a wilderness adventure is more up your alley consider checking out Frommer’s Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks guide. This comprehensive guide will give you information about camping, hiking trails, wildlife and other attractions in our nations most popular National park.

And finally, if you’re a beach bum like me, stop by the library and check out Eyewitness Travel Family Guide: Florida. This guide gives families tons of great information to help them make the most of their time and money. With many kid friendly activities and budget friendly places to stay and eat, Eyewitness Travel Family Guide: Florida will help you plan the perfect summer vacation.

If you haven’t picked a place to visit yet, come swing by the library and visit section 917 in the non-fiction area to find all kinds of books about traveling!
