An Introduction to Tracing your Irish Ancestors

Harrisonville Branch, Computer Lab
400 E Mechanic St,
Harrisonville, MO
Are you new to Irish immigrant research? Or have you hit a brick wall with an Irish ancestor you can’t find in Irish records?
This class will cover how to trace your family back to the earliest Irish ancestor present in America and how to use what you know about them to make the leap to Irish records. You will learn what kind of records to use for research on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean and where to find them. CCPL Genealogy’s Chelsea Clarke will discuss how to uncover your Irish ancestor’s immigration records, census records from both the US and Ireland, church and civil records, and other types of records that are invaluable to Irish ancestry research.
FREE and open to genealogists of all levels of experience, this class will be held in the computer lab of the Harrisonville Branch, 9:00 AM — 12:00 PM.
