A new online catalog is here

If you search for a book or other item to check out or place a hold today you’ll notice that something has changed. We have a newly designed online catalog.

As before, you can search by title, author, subject or keyword. Unlike before, if you don’t know exactly how to spell a name or book title, the catalog will be able to guess what you mean.

You’ll find new features for creating lists of books you’ve read or want to read, book reviews, and you can text a call number to your phone so you can go find the item on the shelf without writing anything down.

You’ll also see a display of our newest books and movies on the main search page as well as bestseller lists of fiction and nonfiction titles.

Login to your own library account.

Of course, you can still login with your library card number and PIN to request library material from other libraries to be picked up in your closest branch. You can renew what you already have checked out. And you can review the status of your holds and current checkouts.

We think it looks and works better than the old catalog. We’d like to hear from you if you have ideas for making it better. Just post a comment on this blog post.

Thank you!
