Rhonda Kasper with the University Extension office presents Kids in the Kitchen. The Kids in the Kitchen curriculum encourages kids to eat healthier meals and snacks as a result of hands-on cooking experiences. Kids will learn how to prepare simple, healthy foods that they can make for themselves and for other family members at home. They will also learn food safety practices with each lesson.
This is a teen program for kids 12 to 18.
This month we will be discussing "The Dollhouse" by Fiona Davis. We meet on the first Monday of each month.

Come to the library after school to design your baseball jar. Supplies will be provided – space is limited so sign up.
This is for teens ages 12-18.
This is for new or experienced researchers. Are you interested in researching your family history but do not know where to begin? We have a patron who will assist you in your research. Come to the library to brainstorm of ways to research your family history. Space is limited.
Storytime is geared for children 5 and under. We read books, sing songs, and finish up with a craft or coloring page.
The Friends of the Library will meet in Harrisonville in the computer lab to discuss several topics. This meeting is open to anyone interested in helping support the library. If you are not a member, you may join for as little as $25.00. Pick up an application at your local branch, or join at the meeting.
Refreshments will be available.
We will be continuing with the Drexel Library Village that we began on opening day.
This month we will meet on August 28 at 10:00am since there we will not meet in September. Come and join the group of experienced and inexperienced gardeners. Turn those gardening challenges into successes as we share ideas and resources each month.
