Lots of music, stories and nonsense at the library this summer!

We have a lots of exciting and entertaining programs planned for young patrons this summer.

Some of these programs are limited in space and by invitation only for those who finish their reading goals. So sign up here and get started reading!

Children’s entertainer, Will Stuck, is appearing at multiple locations:

Super Silly Songs & Stories with Will Stuck: Stories, songs and general nonsense guaranteed to tickle your funny bone. This will be held at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 302 S Missouri St, Archie, MO. Archie Branch: Monday, July 13, 10:30am.

Summer Reading Super Silly Ending Party: For those who complete the Summer Reading Program, join us for our Super Silly Ending Party—Zany performer, Will Stuck—Food—Prizes! Garden City Branch: Tuesday, July 28, 10:00am.

Will Stuck – Super Silly Stories & Songs!: Entertainer Will Stuck (right) is guaranteed to tickle your funny bone! Come celebrate your reading success with stories, songs and general nonsense. Sponsored by Community Bank and Larry & Jean Snider. Harrisonville Branch: Monday, July 13, 6:30pm.

Super Silly Stories & Songs: Professional storyteller Will Stuck will perform Super Silly Stories & Songs! All ages are welcome, target audience is early elementary. Northern Resource Center (Belton) Monday, June 15, 6:30pm.

Also appearing at the Summer Reading Program closing party in North Cass, back by popular demand: Dino O’Dell!!

Ending Celebration for Super Readers!: Congratulations! You’ve read all your books and completed the summer reading program. Now come celebrate at our ending party. Children’s entertainer Dino O’Dell will be performing. Inquire at Circulation desk for location. Northern Resource Center (Belton)Monday, July 20, 6:30pm.

And don’t miss our exhibit of rare birds appearing in two locations:

Rare Jewels of the Rainforest: Meet endangered birds, a rare toucan and an eagle owl. Also, birds who roller skate and play basketball! Sponsored by Harrisonville Kiwanis. Harrisonville Branch: Monday, June 22, 6:30pm.

“Awesome Birds” by Wings of Love: Birds roller skate, ride a bicycle, bowl, spell words, play basketball, speak on cue, etc. with lots of audience participation. This popular program for all ages will be held off-site at the United Methodist Church, 1300 Lexington Rd. Pleasant Hill, MO Sponsored by Dogwood Energy. Pleasant Hill Branch: Tuesday, June 9, 2:00pm.
