Library board welcomes new member

At the recent monthly meeting of the library board of trustees, members welcomed a newly appointed member, Phil Kohler, to the board.

Phil Kohler is from Pleasant Hill where he owns Kohler Farmers Insurance Agency. He also sits on the local fire protection district board and has previously served on the Pleasant Hill school board.

Phil Kohler was appointed by the Cass County Commission to serve as a library trustee. Mr. Kohler’s appointment fills the vacancy created by Randy Miller’s recent resignation from the board.

The Cass County Public Library system is governed by a five-member board of trustees. Board members are appointed by the County Commission. Board members serve four-year terms.

The board meets the third Wednesday of the month at 4:45pm in Pearson Hall, 400 E Mechanic, Harrisonville, MO. Meetings are open to the public.
