Place a Hold

If you can't find what your looking for on the shelf, place a hold.  

Use the online catalog: Open the online catalog by clicking on Search the Catalog on the homepage of the library's website at casscolibrary.org.

Logging in: If you know you will be placing several holds, you may choose to log in in the top right-hand corner of the catalog before you begin searching in the catalog.  Enter your 14-digit library card number and 4-digit PIN.  If you do not know your PIN, call the library or Ask a Librarian.

Search the catalog for books, audiobooks, CDs and DVDs.  For instructions on how to search the catalog, click here.

Place request: To place a hold, click on the blue Place Request button for the selected item as shown below.

After clicking place request, enter your library card number and PIN as shown below unless you have already done so.

Pick-up location: Use the drop down menu as pictured below to tell the library which branch you would like to be able to pick up the item.

Notification: The library will contact you by mail.  If you would prefer to be contacted by email, talk to a library employee or let us know using Ask a Librarian.
