Come to the library and play on one of our iPads!

Families who come to the children’s library at the Harrisonville Branch have an opportunity to check out an iPad loaded with fun and engaging early literacy apps!

Thanks to the Racing to Read early literacy grant provided by the Missouri State Library, we have been able to purchase these iPads and make them available for use in the children’s library.

There are a wide variety of apps available, including Don’t Let the Pigeon Run This App, based on the Pigeon books written by Mo Willems and D is for Doodle, an app that combines rewarding drawing techniques with alphabet recognition. These apps were chosen for their value in building skills that will benefit children as they are learning to read.

Come to the library and enjoy exploring what the iPads have to offer.
