Services offered through CCPL's Web Catalog: from a remote site, patrons may:
- check to see materials owned by CCPL and Kansas City Library Consortium
- place materials on reserve
- renew borrowed items
- check materials you have on reserve
- check items checked out to your account
Services offered at CCPL's branches include:

- local community information
- online reference sources

Description of the Ask A Librarian Service:
The Ask A Librarian email reference service is unable, due to time involved, to perform lengthy research. Please visit the reference department at any CCPL branch for research assistance. Library staff will not give medical, legal or tax advice.
Messages may be sent at any time of the day or night. Our goal is to respond to most reference questions within 24 hours.
Messages sent to Ask A Librarian are read Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). You will be contacted as quickly as possible with one of the following responses:
- an answer
- a request for more information
- advice on where you might be able to locate an answer
Please give us as many details about your request as possible. Some reference questions are more complex than they might appear and might require consultation with you. For this reason, we are requesting your phone number and fax number, if available.
